Your fairment yeast flakes

Our Fairment yeast flakes are an elementary component of vegan cuisine and are full of vitamins and trace elements.

Yeast flakes or also called nutritional yeast, are inactivated yeasts in flake form. In addition to vitamins, they also contain many trace elements and minerals and are therefore very popular as a useful addition to the diet.

In addition, they also cut a fine figure as a seasoning and, more recently, as a cheese substitute in the vegan scene.
Our Fairment yeast flakes are grown on a molasses basis. After the growth phase, the yeasts are rolled and heated. This breaks down the cell walls and stops the conversion of sugars to alcohol.

Yeast flakes serve primarily as a strong flavoring agent. They are often used pure as a topping, adding a spicy, nutty note to dishes. In terms of taste, the flakes are often compared to cheese or even used as a cheese substitute.

But they also act as a flavor enhancer. Yeast flakes contain a lot of natural glutamic acid, also known as glutamate in the food industry. Whereas, this is the natural form. And not only that. In addition to being used as a seasoning, the flakes are also very popular as a food supplement. Yeasts naturally contain large amounts of B vitamins.
